Overview

Purnata was founded in 2014 to prevent human trafficking at its source and support victims of trafficking with rescue and rehabilitation services. They offer space for women who were trafficked into commercial sexual exploitation to access their Drop-in-Center in Bhandup that offers sessions on literacy, skill training, and a link to medical services and entitlements.

Kshamatha was started in 2011 to provide skills and opportunity to women and girls who have experienced gender-based violence. They train young girls in 'Government Homes' and also at Kshamata Transformation Centre.

Arogyaagam was founded in 1982 by a team of public health volunteers to address HIV/AIDs, TB, and leprosy. They currently work with women SHGs on economic empowerment and gendered violence, on prevention of child labor, and with adolescent girls on unsafe work migration. 

Geography: Theni District of  Tamil Nadu

Lokpanchayat was established in 1993 working on sustainable agriculture and women's empowerment with a focus on the prevention of gender-based violence for the last 17 years. They are expanding their programme on gender-based violence and providing shelter and aid to distressed women through community empowerment.

Centre for Women and Girls (CWG) was established in 2006 to empower women to address matters of violence, promote local resource management, and strengthen peace efforts and sustainable livelihoods in Manipur. CWG also works with local NGOs and communities on issues such as human trafficking, human rights (Children, women, Indigenous communities), etc.

Shanti Sahyog was established in 1992 working to ensure access to a better quality of life for the underprivileged. They find sustainable solutions and provide services to empower women through access to livelihoods, legal aid, counseling, skill development, playschool, and pre-primary education for children. They conduct free health camps in the communities they work in.

Navchetana was founded in 20007 to address the extreme vulnerabilities of women sugarcane cutters in the district of Beed, Maharashtra. They support them through alternative livelihood options using the SHG models and also building awareness of their rights, prevention of violence, and healthcare.

Mahila Sarvangeen Utkarsh Mandal (MASUM) was founded in 1987 and works on health and livelihood for women and violence against women in the Purandar block of Pune District. They work towards the Prevention of Violence Against Women by supporting their existing work in Purandar block through support centre for legal aid and counseling services and support groups for emergency assistance.

SMART was founded in 1997 in New Delhi with a focus on eliminating violence against women in the Mewat region of Haryana and increasing women's participation in family and Panchayat decisions by creating support systems such as mothers groups, community groups, and information channels. They run a successful community radio, 'Radio Mewat' as their change agent.
