Mitr Sanketa was founded in 2005 with an initial focus on rescuing child domestic workers and evolved towards supporting the rights of women domestic workers and registered the Domestic Worker Rights Union in 2009. They support retired and old domestic workers through their ‘Adopt a Granny’ programme and run evening classes for children of domestic workers.
