This chart represents the key teams that function within the Foundation.

Field Institutes and Schools
Field Institutes are district-level institutions focused on improving the public education system. They work in collaboration with state governments to create avenues for professional development of teachers, school leaders, teacher educators and other education officials. They also work to reform school curriculum, teacher-education curriculum and related issues of education policy. Azim Premji Schools aim to demonstrate good school level practices at costs and constraints similar to that of rural government schools. As of 2016, our schools are operational in the following states (districts): Uttarakhand (Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarkashi), Rajasthan (Tonk, Sirohi, Barmer), Karnataka (Yadgir, Kalaburagi) and Chattisgarh (Dhamtari). These schools are not intended to supplant or supplement the government school system in any way – but to help in local capacity building and awareness creation for “quality education”.
